A three-bedroom rental villa five minutes from Berawa beach — engineered for surf trips, long stays and strong nightly yield.
Villa Ombak was commissioned by an investor couple who wanted a Canggu rental that performs in the top quartile on Airbnb while still feeling like a real home. The plot — 500 m² on a quiet gang two minutes from the rice fields and five from Berawa beach — set the rules: maximize built area within Bali setbacks, keep the entire ground floor open to the pool, and never sacrifice the photo.
The plan is a U-shaped pavilion wrapped around a 10-meter pool. The living area, kitchen and dining open fully to the deck with retractable timber screens. A dedicated surf room with rinse-shower, board racks and wetsuit hooks sits at the entry — the first thing guests see, and the thing that ranks highest in reviews.
Finished in microcement, burnt teak and rattan, Villa Ombak is photographed in every angle of light. It is also fully booked nine months a year.
A small but dedicated room with board racks, wetsuit hooks and a rinse-shower. It's the first thing guests see, the thing that gets quoted in reviews, and it costs almost nothing to build.
Every bedroom is sized identically and gets its own bathroom. No master/guest hierarchy. It lets the villa be split equally between friends — which doubles the bookable demographic.
We modeled the villa from the angles the listing photos would be taken — pool from the master bed, kitchen from the lounge, evening hero shot from the gate. Then we built it.
They didn't design a villa. They designed a business that happens to look beautiful.
